🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Teaching was conducted mainly in seminar form, which allowed a more personal approach of the teachers to the students.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? There was an orientation week at the beginning of the semester, also an intensive course in Slovenian. Before and during the semester, there is a great ESN organization in Ljubljana that provides a variety of events for international students.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:10000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Great BONI system - government subsidized food daily. Students are allocated a certain number of BONIs per month (essentially coupons) via a mobile app and can use these coupons to pay for reduced prices each day at restaurants, canteens, cafeterias, etc. The canteen in the Faculty of Economics building even offers breakfast for BONI without any extra charge (a very rich and delicious breakfast)!
The university also offers free sports, students just need to register in the system and sign up for the activity they are interested in. The offer is really wide - yoga, pilates, volleyball, basketball, gym and more.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? For transportation around the city, I mostly used bike sharing via the BicikeLJ app (citywide coverage, dense network of stations). Ljubljana is very bike-friendly. I used the ap-ljubljana.si portal and the Slovenian Arriva portal to find buses outside Ljubljana. Alternatively, FlixBus also operates in Slovenia.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?perfect

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Rožnik Forest is a beautiful place for a walk, a run and a picnic. Also Šmarna Gora and the adjacent forest just outside Ljubljana is a beautiful place for a hike, Šmarna Gora itself is an excellent place for sunrise and sunset.
Among the restaurants I recommend the Moderna café, Burger Time Ljubljana and Roza Slon.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I recommend exploring Slovenian nature, which is absolutely phenomenal. Among my favorites I will mention the peaks of Slemen's Spit, Mala Mojstrovka, Vogel, Skuta and of course the highest peak of Slovenia, Triglav. The seven Triglav Lakes, Mala and Velika Planina are definitely worth a visit too. Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj are very touristy places, but beautiful nonetheless.

Share your best experience:The best experiences for me have always been trips to the mountains. Slovenia's nature is beautiful in every season, and because Slovenia is a relatively small country, everything is so accessible that I could basically spend every weekend in the mountains. Staying overnight in a bivouac or climbing the highest mountain, Triglav, right from the start of my Erasmus was absolutely exceptional.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
How did you get to the place?Car

Can you pay by card?everywhere

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Mountains within reach, like-minded students and many new experiences every week - thanks to Erasmus I had the best semester of my university life so far.
