🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?neutral

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?My field of study is very specific and this has had an impact on the teaching, it is very different here compared to teaching in the Czech Republic. For example, there are more practical classes, but also more homework and handing in. I guess what surprised me the most was how fair everyone is and goes into a lot of detail even in correcting homework.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, we had Welcome Week and then lots of activities and parties throughout the semester.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:16000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?I guess I was expecting it to be more expensive than in the Czech Rupublic. If you want to save money, party drinks are not the way to go.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Download store cards and shop for discounts, possibly even have heavily discounted food if it's before the expiration date.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? It offers a semester ticket that is valid throughout the Salzburg region, so it's really worthwhile and can be used for all kinds of travel. For connections, the Sbg Verkehr app is the best.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Salzburg is overall a very beautiful city surrounded by mountains, so views everywhere you look. I would definitely recommend a trip up to the castle and then a walk around the old part of Salzburg. And if you want to get out into the countryside quickly and have beautiful views of Salzburg I would recommend taking the bus to Gaisberg.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I would mostly recommend buying a season pass and skiing anytime and anywhere. I personally had bought a Superskicard, which offers a lot of skiing and although it's more expensive, it's definitely worth it.

Share your best experience:I don't have one best experience, there are many. I've made a great group of friends here and I think that's what it's all about, after that every trip or experience is the best!

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Radar cameras in Austria, fines are faaaaar expensive.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?I personally didn't have any equipment at all in college, so it's good to bring at least the basics for both the kitchen and bathroom. But quite a few people here offer and sell stuff, so if you don't mind investing in it, you can get it here too.
