🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Teaching was less organized. Many subjects were missing from the timetable and the dates of teaching were only arranged during the semester with the teacher. This became problematic, for example, when the teacher scheduled block teaching only during the exam period.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? The University organised the orientation week in cooperation with the Erasmus Student Network.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Public transport discount with a valid student certificate - ISIC card is not enough, you need a certificate from a Hungarian university.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?almost without problems

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Connections in Budapest and buying public transport tickets via the BudapestGo app. For the rest of the country, I recommend the MÁV app, which allows you to buy tickets and search for connections.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Fishermen's Bastion, Buda Castle, Margaret Island with its singing fountain, which also glows at night. I also recommend the spa, of which there is a great variety in Budapest. Also Vajdahunyad Castle and the surrounding park. The Aquincum will also surprise you a lot. In the summer you can swim in the Danube.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I recommend Visegrád, Sümeg, Hollókö, and Esztergom for castle lovers. For architecture lovers, I recommend Lillafüred, Tapolca and Szentendre. Nice walks are in the Duna-Ipoly National Park. In warm weather, a trip to the Balaton is great, especially to the towns of Siofok and Tihany.

Share your best experience:Three-day trip to Sümeg, Tapolca and Keszthely.
