Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?compulsory attendance at seminars with three absences allowed. Some seminars were held until the end of January. Most courses did not end with an exam but with a presentation/essay

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?We had orientation week, student events and a few clubs.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Food was generally more expensive than I expected, also coffee was normally 6 euro.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Cook a lot at home and find friends who work behind the bar, Backwerk or My Indigo had quite cheap lunches, the canteen was not so good.

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?You can buy Klimaticket in which you have shipping throughout the region. Otherwise, most students ride a bike (the city is adapted to this and small).

What is a must-see in the city?Probably the Hohensalzburg fortress, it has a really nice view, then definitely the Christmas market!! and also Geisberg, either hike or take the bus, in Salzburg there is often an inversion, so the sunsets are the best from there.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Attersee, Mondsee, Wolfgangsee, and many other lakes, Hochkönig, Untersberg, Gosausee, Hallstatt.

Share your best experience:Probably a ski trip with ESN, it's a well organized trip, when 4 Austrian ESNs join together and go to a hut under the Mölltal glacier.

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Not really, the car ride there was really chill.

What not to forget when packing?Hiking boots, a duvet and a pillow (not in the dorms).
