Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The teaching was mainly in the form of lectures. We had to prepare homework for each lesson and almost every lesson we wrote a short test from the previous material.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?We didn't have access to a kitchen, we generally only ate in restaurants in Taiwan, so our expenses were mainly for food.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?If you put a student profile on your public transport card, you don't have to pay for a route that is under 5km. You get a student discount when you enter the museum.

Together with our friends from Mexico we celebrated the New Year in front of the Taipei 101 skyscraper, which is their biggest celebration, where people from all over the world come to celebrate. It's a fireworks display that's shot directly from the skyscraper.
