Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?One could choose between Modalidad A or B when it came to finishing the subject. Modalidad A involves continuous assessment - essays, smaller tests throughout the term, microteaching activities etc - all this then forms a percentage to add to your final exam. Usually attendance is taken.
In comparison, in Modalidad B, your entire final grade rests on the final exam.


Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?There are WhatsApp groups for international students offering plenty of activities, trips, meetups etc.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:22000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?no

Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?If you’re willing to share, use the group ISA for international students. That way you can find cheap accommodation.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Getting a new set of tires for my car was surprisingly cheap.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Mercadona and Eroski. Fresh produce is cheap according to the season. Chocolate and sweets surprisingly expensive. If you have a sweet tooth, bring stuff from home.
If you are a woman and used to colour your hair, other colour than brown, it’s impossible to buy those at drugstores/supermarket.
Get a travel card - getting around is easy, one ride costs 0.52

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?For in the city travel, google is your friend to find the fastest route, long haul - use Omio to find best deals. Trains are pricey but fast, buses come cheap.

What is a must-see in the city?Pillar cathedral, del Seo cathedral, Expo grounds, Aljaferia - at the moment housing Goya paintings, Roman Ruins, NH museum

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Visit Barcelona and Madrid, go North to visit Bilbao and Guernica, hike at least once in the Pyrenees, visit Pueblo Viejo de Belchite, Granada, Sevilla, Toledo

Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Zaragoza has an airport, but serves mostly southern Europe. Barcelona is 1.5 hour away by a fast train. Buy train tickets well in advance and avoid peak hours.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing?Zaragoza has Cierzo - wind from the sea, it does get incredibly windy sometimes, pack a scarf. It doesn’t get that cold outside but in summer, there is no AC anywhere, and in winter, the flats and houses get incredibly cold.
