I decided one morning that the weather was nice and Leuven was close by, so I went. It was very spontaneous and beautiful. I was completely enchanted by the city. I felt like a local for the first time. I looked into one of the oldest libraries here in Belgium, saw the whole city from the tower there, explored the sights, ate well and even took a bike ride. At the end of the day, I totally happened to see a wonderful St. Nicholas Day parade and ended the day with a delicious waffle.
