What specific responsibilities and tasks did you do during your internship?Mainly monitoring of the Austrian press, assistance with the organisation of events, communication with the authorities, administration and research of projects, assistance in the consular department.

Why would you recommend students do an internship?An embassy is a great place to get to know the diplomatic environment if that is the direction the candidate wants to go in the future. At the same time, there is a great team at the Embassy in Vienna, which is great to support the smooth running of the internship.
