🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?no

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?yes

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?I was very pleasantly surprised by the thoroughly developed unified syllabus for all courses, the greater emphasis on critical thinking, discussion and practical implementation of theoretical knowledge. I also appreciated the professional and personal approach of the lecturers, as well as the constructive feedback on tests and seminar papers. At the same time, it is good to take into account that at the University of Toronto, the study load during the semester is quite high, and continuous assignments make up a large part of the final grade.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? The university does not offer an orientation week before classes begin, but during the first two weeks there was one mandatory orientation meeting and then an opportunity for a guided tour of the main campus buildings. Directly for the exchange students, the foreign team at the university organised some type of joint event about once a month, and the university itself offers a lot of opportunities to get involved, it requires a proactive approach.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Special aids and technologies (e.g., text-to-speech software, hearing aids)
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)
Crisis intervention
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)
