🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?neutral

Are your credits converted?yes

Can you give an example?Literature in Rennes for 9 credits will only transfer to 5 credits at MU.

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Teaching is more practical. Of course, there is some information to be learned, but the essential skill that the student must demonstrate is the ability to think critically and work with the information they have acquired. At the same time, midterm tests are very common and make up about 50% of the final grade.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, we had a mandatory orientation week. Plus there is an ESN group for the students that organizes events and trips.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

Do you have any tips on how to save money?A great financial relief was the school canteen, where we could have a full hot lunch (starter, main course and dessert) for 3,30 € during the working week.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In France, the Flixbus and BlaBlabus bus network works well, or even train services (however, these are more expensive, especially if you want to travel longer distances).

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Overall, the historic centre of Rennes...and every Saturday the Marché de Lices.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Vannes and Presq'île de Crozon...not so much tourist places, but at the same time beautiful quiet oases.

Share your best experience:Definitely a trip to a small village near Vannes where we spent 3 days at the "end of the world" near Ocean Bay. And then a 10km cross country race in Rennes.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane
Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? You can't get to Rennes directly. The ideal is to fly to Nantes and then take the train or bus. The flight with the change at CDG was no problem, but not worth the money.

Can you pay by card?in most places

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Going to Erasmus was one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm leaving with friends and memories to last a lifetime.
