Do you have any tips on how to find private accommodation?Facebook groups in Turku, but be careful there are a lot of scammers. I had a cheap but horrible private owner.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?34 € student union fee, 56€ campus-sport gymnastics (optional), expensive trains from Helsinki to Turku if you buy at the last minute (40 €), and overall food prices quite expensive.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Using student restaurants to the max and probably going to Lidl for groceries.

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Get on the bus and bring your card, it will give you a two-hour ticket for 3,15€ if you get a student card it is less but you have to recharge your card. Google maps has always worked.

What is a must-see in the city?Suna Villa Järvelä, cathedral

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Helsinki, Tampere, Stockholm (one boat trip)

Share your best experience:The trip to Lofoten and to Lapland via Timetravels was excellent. I have never seen such nature and the Northern Lights.

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Tickets from Helsinki to Turku can be quite expensive when bought at the last minute. Also, they may not take your Czech ISIC. They took mine but I heard it's more of a vignette. In Finland they have their card in the mobile.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Swimsuits for the sauna, warm boots and gloves when it's cold, some Czech/Slovak food like horálky, you'll miss them.
