🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?I was impressed by the expertise of the professors, who had a huge amount of practical experience. Since Slovenia is a small country and my university was in the capital Ljubljana, my professors had their own business or other jobs in addition to their work at the university. For example, I had a professor who negotiated the terms of the partition of Yugoslavia, another who started several e-shops.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? The university offers a number of societies, clubs, trips but also the basics in the form of orientation week.
It also offers a Buddy program (a student from your home university who will help you with everything).

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:12500 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Accommodation in an apartment is more expensive, but otherwise the expenses are the same as in the Czech Republic.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Slovenia provides so-called "food subsidies" for students. You can use these in almost all restaurants and therefore some meals are free and some you pay just a few euros.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? As far as public transport is concerned, you can buy a card at almost every bus stop and when you enter the bus (only through the driver's door!!!) you beep and travel.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Castle, Dragon Bridge, reservations from the skyscraper Nebotičnik over the whole city, St. Nicholas Church, Park Špica, Park Tivoli.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Slovenia - Kranja gora, Bled (only in good weather), Piran, Koper, ZOO Ljubljana.
From Ljubljana it is very close to Italy and Croatia - Trieste, Venice, Rovinj, Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Rijeka, Pula, Umag, Padua.

Share your best experience:The best part was getting out of my comfort zone and meeting people from all over the world.
The biggest advantage was that at any time I could decide and in 30-50 minutes I was at the sea.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Beware of taxi prices in the city, I recommend using the app.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Sweets from home to treat new friends.
