Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?A lot. We spent a lot of time with practical lesson and outside. We learnt throught experiences which specially for me is something really useful. We also had only one oral exam and other grades were from our activities during lesson, writting journals or participate during practise.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?We had a lot of activities during Erasmus. We had orientation week where we met others and during semester we had free food with quiz, parties, craft activies, sport activities, so you don’t have to be afraid that you will be alone. Also students housing is small vilagge with houses where you will live and spent time with others.

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?No, I got enough experiences about student housing and everything was perfect.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?App To good to go for cheap food, cook your own food together with others and travel low cost.

How does public transport work in the city?I've seen better

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?App VY or app Nor-way, public transport in Norway is really expensive so always check both app which we will have better price. From airport to Oslo city app Flytoget, also expensive, but the fastest. You can also buy a ticket in App.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

What is a must-see in the city?The Notodden is more like a village, but hikes around Notodden are perfect (App for hiking UT, All Trails, DNT).

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I saw a lot. My must have are: Preikestolen, Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo, Trondheim, Tromsø, Dalen, Lifjell, Vorringfosse, Eidfjord.

Share your best experience:The whole Erasmus was one of the biggest experiences in my life. And during this programm you will a lot of time for traveling, the best is if somebody have car and go like a group, is the most comfortable and the cheapest way of traveling.

What not to forget when packing?Definetely things from the list what the university will give you. And I recomented to buy good backpack and sleeping bag, it saved my life. Sleeping bag-comfort zone at least -7 if you will go in autumn semester. I have backpack Osprey and I can definetely recometed. Also have your own journal where you can write your memories.
