🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Instead of exams at the end of the semester, I had one exam in September and two more at the end of each course, while the courses have only voluntary lectures, no seminars.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, there was an orientation week in August and I was able to join countless clubs and teams from sports to music to investing to magazine.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:20000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?No, I could have lower expenses if I took fewer trips.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? It is definitely worth reading the discount flyers from the shops and if you are under 21 in Bergen, you get significantly cheaper transport.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? There are several options - Vy, Skyss or Entur, but many Czechs had a problem with Skyss because of the Czech phone number, so I recommend Entur or the plastic card that you can get at the main bus station.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The 7 mountains of Bergen, but every student will definitely see them more than once during the semester.
The nature in general, but also the city is very nice...moreover, every season offers something different and you definitely don't get bored outside the city.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Trolltunga with overnight in a tent on the top, Lofoten by rented car, DNT cabins - all of them, they are all magical and in beautiful scenery at a very friendly price
But I definitely recommend Finsehytta and Hallingskeid for the spectacular views and the glacier literally on your doorstep, luxury for cross-country skiing in winter.

Share your best experience:That's a tough question, but almost all my trips are fighting for the first place. Surfing in Hoddevik in the autumn was definitely an experience of a lifetime.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Make sure there is a bybanen (local tram) running when you arrive in Bergen, otherwise you will have no way to get to the dorms (except by taxi). Don't exchange money unnecessarily, no one uses cash here.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing? An umbrella, a proper raincoat and a waterproof backpack cover...it is after all the rainiest city in Europe. Just pack more sports clothes than decent ones, trust me, you won't use them.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Bergen is a city that offers the best benefits and opportunities for students, and everyone can speak English.
