What specific responsibilities and tasks did you do during your internship?During my internship, I experienced the position of an assistant and independent teaching of preschool and younger school-age children. In addition to teaching, I also worked in the online space. For example, I participated in administrative tasks and website development.

How competitive was the selection process? Did you have to go through an application procedure?I can't say how much competition there was, but I had to send my resume and cover letter to the institution and then attend an online interview.

Why would you recommend students do an internship?I would recommend students to go on an internship because this experience offers not only professional growth but also personal enrichment. Working with children growing up in bilingual families has shown me the value of linguistic diversity in education and helped me develop my teaching skills. In addition, my time abroad has given me important personal experiences - I have learned to be more independent, to react better in new situations and to trust myself more.

If not, how did you find it?The institution provided me with the contact details of an apartment owner who rents out his apartment at a reasonable price.

Did you have any unexpected expenses during the internship?no

Do you have any tips on how to save money during the internship?In Germany, it is worth shopping in cheaper stores such as ALDI, PENNY. You can save a lot on transport by buying a monthly ticket (Deutschlandticket), which is valid for all regional and local transport throughout Germany and at a really low price.

How to buy a ticket?I found all the connections without any problems via the RMVgo or DB Navigator app, through which you can also buy tickets and a convenient monthly ticket (Deutschlandticket). You can also buy one-day tickets for public transport in Frankfurt, for example, from vending machines at stations and individual stops.

What is a must-see in the city?In Frankfurt, I recommend visiting the main square with its half-timbered houses and the Gothic cathedral. The city will captivate you with its unique architecture. An evening stroll along the Main River with a view of the luminous skyscrapers will enchant you.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I would recommend the really beautiful city of Heidelberg, which is not far from Frankfurt. You can also enjoy a beautiful walk along the Rhine River. You can start, for example, in the picturesque wine-growing town of Rüdesheim am Rhein.
