🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?yes

Can you give an example? The foreign university offers courses for 2.5 ECTS or 5 ECTS, but at our university this is converted to 3 credits. 5 stays at 5 credits.

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The class does not start exactly on time. It regularly starts somewhere between 0:10 and 0:20. (It also depends on the teacher who teaches it, of course). Classes last only 1:30.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes. It offers a lot. There's an organizing group right there, and it organizes stuff for international students every week - from trips, to vineyard tours, to parties, to beer and wine tastings.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Special aids and technologies (e.g., text-to-speech software, hearing aids)
Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:17500 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Radio/radio fees, university fees (paid only once at the beginning and includes a compulsory public transport card).

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Go to ALDI or LIDL, don't shop at REWE or TEGUT. Take advantage of the student discount on the deutschlandticket and travel around Germany with it.

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?WVV mobile app (you also use the deutschland ticket with it and it is the most accurate) or DB navigator. Citymapper works more in bigger cities.

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Definitely Old Bridge or the Castle Gardens. And of course the churches. Würzburg has an awful lot of them and most of them are free and open all the time.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Bamberg, Reich, Frankfurt, Munich, Walchensee or any of the places and lakes in the Alps in Bavaria, these are the most beautiful.

Share your best experience:River travel in Munich. In summer it is a must. You jump into the river and it carries you through the park to a point from which you can jump ashore. Also drinking aperol at sunset on the old bridge, it's quite a tradition in Würzburg.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip? The bus journey takes an average of 10 hours from Brno. Sometimes 11 or more, sometimes 9. But it's faster just by car. By train it would be even longer. Be ready for a long journey. Oh, and there aren't many buses in town at night-max at 1am and then not until 5am, so plan it so you don't arrive at like 3am, you'd be walking a lot to your accommodation.

Can you pay by card?in most places

What not to forget when packing? No need for anything special.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?I met a lot of people, learned German and saw so many places I wouldn't have seen otherwise. I learned not to be afraid of the unknown.
