How competitive was the selection process? Did you have to go through an application procedure?Yes, I went through the selection process. I had to send in the necessary materials that were included and then have an online interview, then wait for the MFA to vet me. To secure a visa with their help, as although I can go for 30 days without a visa, I am also going for work purposes, hence the A1 category.

Why would you recommend students do an internship?I resisted, but it is an unforgettable experience and knowledge. You learn and discover a lot, it's not just practice in school. You refresh your language skills. You get to know another country, language, culture. You meet new people. No one will take away your experience. And maybe you'll change your job description, different from what you studied.

What were your average monthly expenses during the internship?20000 CZK/month

Did the institution provide accommodation?no

If not, how did you find it?Through friends, contacts and referrals. In the period I have been here, it is necessary to be well ahead of the tourist season and conferences.

If yes, what were they?Accommodation, I was moving. There was no availability at one hotel, so I moved to another hotel for 7 days.

Do you have any tips on how to save money during the internship?I guess you can save money on student discounts, they take them somewhere. But I recommend you don't save and enjoy it. Have a budget besides school.
