Pre študentské víza Subclass 500 treba Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)- od univerzity a OSHC poistenie - tiež sa rieši cez univerzitu. Pokiaľ idete študovať odbory spojené so zdravotníctvom alebo sa budete stýkať s malými deťmi, môžu vyžadovať lekársku prehliadku.

Mala som problémy s jazykovým certifikátom, ktorý sa ku mne dostal až na poslednä chvíľu a do toho pri vyplňovaní prvého LA som spravila dorbnú chybu, takže sa to naťahovalo, ale druhý LA som mala podpísaný pár dní po príchode na partnerskú univerzitu.

Rôzne campusy vyučujú rôzne kurzy. Zmeny môžete robiť cca prvý mesiac.

áno- väčšinou formou open book testu alebo záverečného projektu

Väčší dôraz na samoštúdium, prednášky sú väčšinou dostupné online, študenti musia plniť veľa priebežných úloh a aktivít na workshopoch

Quality of teaching in comparison with home school:
Záleží od kurzu, ale všeobecne asi o niečo vyššia

How did you receive study materials?:
Všetko potrebné je v ISe od vyučujúcich

How well is the school library equipped?:
Perfektná. K dispozícii sú tlačiarne, počitače, knihy...

Availability of computers, internet access, level of software needed, requirements on notebook:
Dá sa fungovať aj bez vlastného laptopu na počítačoch v knižnici, ale na hodinách je vlastný laptop praktický.

Options from printing and copying:
V knižnici cez predplatený kredit.

Does the foreign school/student organisation arrange special events for exchange students?:

Veľké množstvo študentských organizácií a spolkov okrem toho international dinners, pancake breakfasts, international week, city tour, výlet do ZOO...

Klasický internát treba vám všetko- periny, obliečky, kuchynské vybavenie (na byte je chladnička, mikrovlnka, sporák, hriankovač a rýchlovarná kanvica)

How and how far ahead should accommodation be organised?:
cca 2-3 mesiace

What are the catering options?:
Neexistuje žiadna menza- varíte si sami, alebo môžete využiť kaviarne a fastfoody na campuse

What are the rough costs of groceries (compare with Czech prices):
jemne drahšie, záleží od druhu potraviny aj obchodu ale v zásade porovnateľné ceny napr. s Prahou

Transport to location of placement:
Na capmuse sa všade dostanete pešo, inak MHD

Rough prices for transportation:
MHD cca 30 AUD na týždeň

Tips for purchasing cheap tickets and other recommendations:
Letenky určite kupovať čo najskôr- najlacnejšie sú s niekoľkodňovým prestupom niekde v Ázii. Ja som napríklad cestou späť strávila 5 dní na Bali :)

What are the local transport options (public transport, cycling, on foot, rough prices):
Najlepšie určite auto, MHD veľmi zdĺhavá a relatívne drahá (CCA 30 AUD/ týždeň), pešo je všade ďaleko. Austrália je v tomto taká trošku Amerika- treba si nájsť kamarátov s autom

What kind of formalities have to be arranged before arrival, for example residence permit?:
Nič zásadné- máte víza.
Inak ak chcete v Austrálii aj pracovať tak treba požiadať o Tax File Number (online) a založiť si bankový účet.

What health insurance did you use? (rough price, advantages, disadvantages, is it necessary to arrange insurance at the university other than your home (Czech) insurance?):
OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover)- povinné pri študentských vízach, rieši sa cez univerzitu
Cestovné poistenie na Slovensku- nie je nutné ale odporúčam, OSHC je veľmi basic poistenie.

Na študentské víza môžete odrobiť 24h za týždeň

adaptér na zásuvky, oblečenie do každého počasia (od 15 do 35 stupňov :) )

Skvelý prístup k zahraničným študentom, množstvo zoznamovacích a poznávacích aktivít, ochota so všetkým pomôcť.
