🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?it's alright

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The undergraduate courses were absolutely free, I almost missed the stress of FI. If you want to learn more, I would recommend enrolling in masters courses. Almost nothing has mandatory attandance, exams were often online or openbook.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?I recommend taking a language course before the semester starts, you get to know a lot of people quickly. There is no ESN in Linz, but there are student groups that organise events for Erasmus students.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?I haven’t noticed

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:25000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?mostly fine

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? The campus is outside the centre and has everything you need, so it's probably not worth buying a long term ticket. Plus, there are nextbikes everywhere that are free twice a day, and they get you downtown faster than a shuttle. As for getting around, if you can take a car I'd recommend it, Austrian trains are quite expensive and often go on strike :)

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Pleschinger See is absolutely the best place, most people used to go swimming there before the semester started, so you get to know it quickly and it's great for winter cold plunges.

What are the must-visit trip destinations?I would say that about 90% of the trip is not determined by where you go, but who you go with, so the "where" doesn't really matter in the end. So, if you visit any capital of neighboring countries with good friends, you won't make a mistake. I would especially recommend Budapest unlimited prosecco cruise ship :)

Share your best experience:There were many experiences, so it's hard to pinpoint the best, but one of the best was definitely the hike up the mountains around Tarvisio followed by 8 pizzas for dinner for 4 people.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Car

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Don't forget to sign the Participant Agreement before you leave :)

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing? There is nothing in the kitchens, so I recommend packing some dishes if you have extra.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Best semester of my undergrad. Don't miss this great opportunity to go on an adventure :)
