🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Almost no tests (I had only one) - focus is on writing essays, seminars or elaborating and presenting a topic in the form of a presentation. This form suited me best.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? There was a welcome day, but no essential info was shared (rather the non-essential ones). I had to find my way around on my own and ask my buddy.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Insurance. Because during my first Erasmus I could only get a free paper - basic insurance at the office. This time muni doesn't recognize it and so my Erapo came out to be around 2 000 CZK :(

Do you have any tips on how to save money?-Carrefour, Biedronka - loyalty card can be arranged without PL phone number
-Don't buy much in Žabka
-Buy semestral public transport ticket
-Go to museums on Tuesdays (they are free)
-Travel by train (51% discount for students)
-Hebe has good and frequent discounts on cosmetics
-if you buy a train ticket at least 7 days in advance, there is a discount so that if you travel with at least two people, you get 10% off the ticket price
-over weekends in Poznan public transport for the price of a 1-day ticket you get 2 days:)

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?neutral

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?neutral

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Jakdojade - app for everything (public transport, trains, buy tickets)
Koleo - app for trains only
Pkp - only for some trains (they have many companies, so I don't recommend this one)

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?no

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city? The Gate of Poznań - an interactive museum about the history of PL

Share your best experience:Trip to Stary Lichen - we traveled by bus with our Indonesian, Czech, American friends. However, we inadvertently got off the bus earlier than we were supposed to and it was still 2km to Old Lichen to the basilica. Suddenly, one of the erasmacs saw that there was a bus in the parking lot and maybe going in our direction - so he started negotiating with the driver to see if he could take us. It was a pensioners' pilgrimage to the basilica in Stari Lichen - they were very nice, they took us. Our foreign friends had a tremendous experience, because the pensioners made room for them, and there were three of them sitting in the double seat on the bus. At the same time, they told them stories and showed them pictures of their grandchildren, the poor guys could hardly understand anything, but it was awfully sweet.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Bus

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Buy a ticket on Flixbus as soon as possible:) price goes up.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Take some Slovakian horalky or some Czech sweets, it will seem like a gift when others will give you theirs.

🥳Summary
Whew, what a ride! 😮‍💨 Thanks so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for sharing your unique experience. Just one last thing. 🙏 How would you summarize your trip in one or two sentences?Although Poland is a neighbouring country, the environment is super "international" - you can find friends from Indonesia to Madagascar.
