Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?For most of the physical geography courses I attended lectures and seminars in Slovenian with other Slovenian students. At the same time, I had the same responsibilities as them during the semester. I was definitely surprised by the field exercises, which were well organized.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Orientation week, a very active ESN centre that organizes a bigger or smaller event almost every week, student associations – I know about the geographical organization EGEA and the literature club at the Faculty of Arts.

Share your best experience:The best experience from Erasmus for me is probably the field exercise in Karst Geography. I spent a whole week exploring caves with my Slovenian classmates, learning how to identify sedimentary profiles or mapping different karst forms in a defined area in Croatian Dalmatia. During the week we also went on several short excursions, for example to Krka NP, Šibenik or to the longest accessible cave system in Croatia. Not only did I gain a lot of new knowledge, I also learned Slovenian, which made it easier to communicate with others.
