Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?My main course was very discussion-oriented. Even though many educators at my home university's department make good efforts to make the classes more interactive, there is still a slight difference.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?Yes, there was an orientation week at the beginning of the semester.

Support for LGBTQ+ students (e.g., safe spaces, counseling services)

Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:19000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Not really, I went to the doctor's twice and it was covered by my student travel insurance.

Do you have any tips on how to save money? The app "Too Good To Go" has great offers (although it is often pastry), Kiwi is a supermarket with cheap brands (such as First Price) and the market in Grønland has cheap imported veggies and fruit. Participating in research usually gives you gift cards! Also not drinking alcohol and cooking at home saves a looot of money.

How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?mostly fine

And what about transport outside the city?runs like clockwork

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket?Oslo: Ruter, trains/buses: Vy (buy in advance, it's much cheaper!), other cities and regions (e.g., Bergen, Stavanger) have their apps for buying tickets. I never had to buy a physical ticket. For "older" students: the student discount is usually until 30yo in Norway;))

Did you deal with any health issues during your stay?yes

How do you rate the availability of healthcare?mostly fine

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Oslo fjord and its islands (accessible by ferries that are a part of the city public transport), parks around the city (Nordmarka, Ostmarka): beautiful forests and mountains with views of the city and surrounding areas (e.g., Vettakollen), Vigelandsparken, Norsk Folkemuseum, Ekebergparken (beautiful sunsets and a light installation), Nasjonalmuseet, Munchmuseet, Opera (buy student tickets for ballets and operas in advance: cheap!), Akerselva, Damstredet, Botanisk Hage, Sognsvann, Nøklevannet...

What are the must-visit trip destinations?THE NATURE: the fjords are a MUST (Nærøyfjord, Sognefjord, Hardangerfjord etc by BOAT) & mountains (like anywhere basically but pray for good weather); cities: Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Tromsø etc; for an extra scandi experience visit Sweden and/or Denmark. If possible travel by train/bus and not plane, the views from
