Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?The semester consists of 4 blocks and in each block they teach a whole course, which means you study only one course at a time with an exam in the last week of the block.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly?They organize an orientation week where they explain how the school system, grading and exams work. There is also a library tour. ESN Stockholm organizes multiple events each week such as day trips to cities close by, hikes and parties. All of the events by ESN are announced on the Hitract app.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Public transport is very expensive compared to Brno, even with a student discount.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Do not go to many parties or eat out, rather cook most of your meals at the accommodation. The price of groceries are similar to back at home.

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Book a train from the airport in advance before you arrive. The fastest way to get to the city is via the Arlanda Express or the SJ trains.

What not to forget when packing?Bring warm clothes, regardless of the weather forecast and a wind jacket, Stockholm is a very windy city.
