🎓Hit the books! How do you rate the university experience?
Can you enroll in a course where you can learn the local language?yes

Does the university offer enough courses in English?they have tons

Are your credits converted?no

Was there anything in the teaching methods that surprised you?Time space in writing exams, which were all in the form of openbook and there is about 3-4 hours allotted for it. It's not a race against time like it was at MUNI.

Does the university offer international students' programs and activities outside of lectures and seminars to help them integrate more quickly? The university had an official welcome, where we got a snack, otherwise I don't know, I was there during the covid period. However, the dorms have a society that took more than enough care of us.

In which areas does the university offer support for students with special needs and strive to be inclusive?Psychological counseling
Barrier-free access to classrooms and dormitories
Special examination conditions (e.g., extended time, quiet rooms)

💸Did you have to rob the bank?
Try to take a guess at what your monthly expenditures were:13000 CZK/month

Did you stay in dorms?yes

What about unexpected expenses? Did anything surprise you?Since Norway is expensive, I expected the impossible.

Do you have any tips on how to save money?Something different is cheaper in every store. Alternatively, you could try dumpster diving with friends. That way my roommate and I could regularly bake banana breads and have coffee for the semester. 😄

🗺 Learn the ropes in a new city
How well did you manage to communicate in English?perfectly

How does public transport work in the city?runs like clockwork

And what about transport outside the city?neutral

Where to find connections? How to buy a ticket? In Bergen, it is directly in the public transport app, it is clear and also shows the load of a given connection.

🤠Help create the perfect bucket list
What is a must-see in the city?Views of the city from all 7 peaks that surround Bergen.😍

What are the must-visit trip destinations?Preikestolen, Stavanger, Oslo and definitely Tromsø or something up north for the Northern Lights and reindeer.

Share your best experience:Trips with other Erasmus students from different countries. Evening sessions with roommates in the kitchen.

💅A nugget of wisdom to make the life easier
Did you need to handle a visa?no

How did you get to the place?Plane

Is there anything to watch out for before the trip?Probably nothing, there's a great connection from the airport directly to the city centre.

Can you pay by card?everywhere

What not to forget when packing?Waterproof clothes! Umbrella is useless. 😂
